Boris Johnson has been instructed by the parliamentary commissioner for requirements he shall be spared an investigation right into a controversial No 10 flat refurbishment.
Based on Downing Road, Kathryn Stone instructed the prime minister she is not going to launch a contemporary inquiry in a letter on the finish of final week.
It’s believed that she agrees with Downing Road’s view that the declaration of the funding preparations for the refurbishment fall underneath the ministerial code – and never Mr Johnson’s declarations to parliament.
