Footballer Daniel Sturridge has been ordered to pay 30,000 US {dollars} (£22,400) to a person who discovered his misplaced canine.
The previous Liverpool striker stated the pet was stolen from a home in Los Angeles in 2019 and supplied a reward for its return.
The Pomeranian, named Lucci, was discovered by native musician Foster Washington who shared photos on social media and helped reunite Sturridge along with his canine.
A Los Angeles courtroom has now ordered Sturridge to pay Washington 30,085 US {dollars} after he didn’t honour the reward.
Court docket paperwork obtained by the PA information company present {that a} default judgment was given, which means Sturridge didn’t reply to the criticism.
Mr Washington, whose rapper title is Killa Fame, stated he felt “let down” by Sturridge.
“Hopefully he pays up and doesn’t attempt to enchantment it,” he instructed PA.
“I’m enthusiastic about it, I’ve been preventing this case for over a yr, I can’t imagine it’s over.
“Once we discovered the canine I believed my life was going to be higher.”
Mr Washington added he had but to rearrange the fee with Sturridge.
